Use this guide with a free ScanScore resource
- Free A4 OMR sheet PDFs — Ready-to-print answer sheets in three sizes, with four or five options.
Long papers are awkward on paper. A 180-question NEET-style test or a 200-question state commission paper normally means two answer sheets, double the handling and a chance of the second page being separated from the first. ScanScore fits up to 200 questions on one side of one A4 sheet.
How the 200-question sheet is laid out
- Five columns of forty questions on one side of A4.
- Four options (A–D) or five (A–E), chosen per exam.
- A compact header so the bubbles stay big enough to fill and read.
- The same printed frame and corner marks as smaller sheets, so scanning works the same way.
You type the number of questions when you create the exam and ScanScore picks the right template — there is nothing to select. Smaller papers get a roomier layout.
Which papers fit on one page
| Paper | One sheet? |
|---|---|

| 180-question NEET-style paper | Yes |
| 200-question state commission paper | Yes |
| More than 200 questions | Split into two exams |
Scanning a dense sheet
More bubbles per page means a little more care. Good light, a flat sheet and a steady hand matter most — see scanning accuracy and the fixes list. Print at actual size so the bubbles stay the intended size.
Marking rules for long papers
Long competitive papers usually carry negative marking and sometimes an “unattempted” option E. Both are supported — read negative marking and practice for SSC, railways and state exams.
